Mark Berry is a Lecturer in Criminology at the Department of Law and Criminology, Royal Holloway University of London. His PhD research was focussed on an illicit market in a medium sized city in England. In the broadest of terms his research aimed to uncover how and why, criminals produce and distribute illicit substances. Whilst his research covered a multitude of drug types, he has spent a great deal of time in the field documenting the practices of wholesale anabolic steroid producers and has taken a keen interest in performance and image enhancing drugs (PIEDs). Mark is currently a trustee for the International Association for the Study of Organised Crime.
