International Network of Doping Research

The mission of the International Network of Doping Research (INDR) is to share and encourage research on doping practices in their broadest cultural, social and political dimensions. The INDR serves as a broad platform of scholars with diverse views, methods, and subject matter. Members of the INDR share a willingness to participate in rational and open-minded debate and research that can deepen our understanding of controversial pharmacological practices that require serious and continuing study by an international and interdisciplinary community of scholars.

Co-ordinated by Prof Jim McVeigh at Manchester Metropolitan University, www.anabolicsteroids.org.uk (ASUK) has an overarching aim to reduce the harms that may be caused by the use of AAS and associated drugs. Launched in September 2020 ASUK will develop the resources and expand the network over time including UK academics and practitioners, a range of international partners and people who use, have used or are contemplating the use of anabolic steroids and associated drugs. In addition to online resources and events, a monthly ASUK briefing provides information on current research publications and events.
