Daniel Giordani Vasques is a professor at the School of Physical Education, Physiotherapy and Dance (ESEFID) and the Postgraduate Program in Human Movement Sciences (PPGCMH) at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). PhD in Human Movement Sciences from UFRGS, where he did post-doctoral studies. Master and Degree in Physical Education from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. He worked in basic education, in public and private schools, and in higher education, in undergraduate and bachelor’s degrees in Physical Education. He was coordinator of the degree course in Physical Education at the Universidade Federal do Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB). He is leader of GESOE (Group of Social Studies on Physical Education, Sport and Leisure) and GPICCE (Research Group on Scientific Initiation, Science and Education); and researcher at GESEF (Group of Sociocultural Studies in Physical Education) and INCT Brazilian Football Studies. He studies the field of anti-doping actions and policies, the subject of his doctorate and in which he completed a stage at Université Paris Nanterre
