John Mann is a Lecturer in Criminology within the Division of Community and Criminal Justice, at De Montfort University, Leicester UK. He is also currently studying for his PhD within the Department of Sociology at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, where he is also a member of the Substance Use and Associated Behaviours (SUAB) Research Group. John’s doctoral research is a qualitative study into cognitive enhancing drug use by students in higher education. John’s wider research interests primarily concern innovative, sociological explorations of drug use/users. John holds a BA (Hons) in Sociology and an MA in Social and Political Theory.
