Marie Overbye, Ph.D., completed her PhD at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark (2013). Subsequently, she worked as a postdoc at University of Southern Denmark and as a Lecturer at the University of Stirling, UK. She is currently based at the University of Copenhagen. Her research areas mainly relate to sporting lives and working conditions, drugs in sport, doping and anti-doping policy, prevention strategies in sport and society.
