Dr. Samuel Iff is an occupational physician and a clinical epidemiologist at the State secretary of economics in Switzerland. In this function he works as an occupational and preventive physician to evaluate health risks at the workplace within the context of the the labour law. Important tasks are the identification of emerging risks and the monitoring of known risks. This includes preparation of evidence-based recommendations, information and working material for the implementation of the labour law. He has an interest in Neuro-, image- and performance enhancing drugs (NIPED) use and is developing harm reduction strategies for NIPED users, undertaking research in conjunction with the Swiss Society of Sports Psychiatrists, and is part of a multi-disciplinary cross speciality clinical team for NIPED users seeking medical help, advice and support.
