Dr Tim Piatkowski‘s research fits broadly in the addiction space, with a focus on applied psychology and nested in a harm reduction framework. He is interested in changing the current health outcomes for performance and image enhancing drug consumers (both male and female) with the intention of building capacity across multiple sectors (alcohol and other drugs and corrections particularly) as part of my own strategy to create streamlined pathways for those who are at risk. His work also emerges from the intersection of applied science and psychology, through the development of protocols optimising enjoyment of exercise and sport through manipulation of attentional focus and utilising emerging digital technologies such as virtual reality.
